Bifolds & French Doors
Bifolds and French doors change how a room is used, not just how it looks. We start with the opening, the floor level and the furniture — then talk about doors.

Most people ask us for bifolds because a room feels dark or cut off from the garden. Wide glazing brings daylight deeper into the house, and in summer the whole wall can be opened up.
It pays to think about where the doors stack, which way you'll walk through them, and what happens to the furniture. That's the conversation we have on the first visit.
Widening an existing opening means structural work. We look first and tell you what would be involved before you commit to anything.
Threshold height affects how the doors look, how they drain and how easily you step outside. Worth deciding early.
Aluminium suits wide spans and slim frames; uPVC is a practical option for French doors and smaller openings.
Which side the panels fold to, and whether you want a traffic door for everyday use rather than opening the whole set.
Multi-point locking on every set, fitted and tested. We're happy to talk through the specification we offer.
Plaster, reveals and outside finishing are part of the job — not something left for you to sort out afterwards.
For narrower openings, or rooms where a bifold set would dominate, French doors are often the better answer. They open wide enough for garden access while leaving the room usable around them.
They're also a straightforward replacement for a tired sliding patio door, usually within the existing opening.
